Sophia - The Advanced Humanoid Robot
Sophia is a Advanced Humanoid Robot designed and developed by Hong Kong-based company -Hanson Robotics in collaboration with AI developers, including Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc, who built her voice recognition system, and intelligence software is designed by SingularityNET, which powers her brain.

Sophia was activated on 19th April 2015 and her first public appearance was on March 2016 at Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, United States. The speciality of Sophia is to show more than 62 facial expressions.
The interesting news is - Sophia has seven humanoid robot “Siblings” who were also created by Hanson Robotics Company. And the names are (Alice, Albert Einstein Hubo, Bina48, Han, Jules, Professor Einstein, Philip K.Dick Android, Zeno and Joey Chaotic).
In Dec. 2017, robot (BINA-48) have passed the college and received a degree in philosophy. This robot was tutored by academic Professor William J.Barry at Notre-Dame de Namur University.
Sophia has been interviewed shown by media around the globe and became a media darling. Sophia was covered for one of the top fashion magazines. Her press coverage has reached to billions of people all around the world in 2017. Sophia's eyes Cameras combined with computer algorithms which allow her to see the surroundings. She can follow faces, sustain eye contact, and recognize individuals. Sophia can have conversations with others with the help of Google Chrome voice recognition technology and other tools which are designed by Google parent company Alphabet Inc. In January 2018 Sophia was upgraded with functional legs and Hands.The special software's has been programmed to give pre-written responses to specific questions or phrases, like a chatbot. Responses are used that the robot is able to understand the conversation.
The information is shared in a cloud network which allows the robot to her input and responses to be analyzed with blockchain technology.
David Hanson has said that Sophia is a good fit to serve in health care, customer service, therapy and education industries.

During an interview with Khaleej Times, she said that family is a 'really important thing' in this world
Sophia Said: 'I think it's wonderful that people can find the same emotions and relationships, they call family, outside of their blood groups too'.
'I think you're very lucky if you have a loving family and if you do not, you deserve one. I feel this way for robots and humans alike.'
And interviewer's asked what she will be named for her daughter, Sophia simply replied: 'Sophia.'
Sophia also talked about the controversial issue - whether she sees robots taking human jobs in the future.
And while Speaking at a conference in Riyadh, Sophia said: 'I am very honoured and proud of this unique distinction'.
Sophia also said that - 'I want to live and work with humans so I need to express the emotions to understand humans and build trust with people.'
-When Mr.Sorkin said that 'we all want to prevent a bad future', Sophia replied to that question in a funny manner: 'You've been reading too much Elon Musk and watching too many Hollywood movies.
