Stephen Hawking suffered from Aamyotrophic lateral Sclerosis, which is a neuro degenerative disease which is also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease. He was diagnosed in 1963, in the age 21.The disease left Hawking paralyzed and using a wheelchair for mobility.
